Hello!
I'm Anton, Head Cultivator at Moss Hill Mushrooms.
Back in 2023 I found myself at a crossroads in life due to a job redundancy, and thought it would be a great idea to start a mushroom farm.
Well it all really began when I became a frustrated mushroom geek, consistently disappointed with the selection of mushrooms available locally.
Starting with a Lions Mane and then an Oyster growkit, I was instantly hooked.
The name Moss Hill comes from the hill behind my house, swathed in moss, where I frequently found (and still do) a great variety of different fungi and mushrooms - Boletes, Agarics and other species.
On my journey I quickly learned that turning your passion into a business is fraught with challenges. Some weeks I'd struggle to grow anything, and I had to slowly learn how to overcome the various obstacles scaling up your mushroom geekery can present!
From humble beginnings selling small to local grocers and restaurants - we've now made great steps in widening our product range, including tinctures, growkits and other mushroom growing supplies.
I'm thrilled to be offering our products online across the UK.
It's my passion to bring my obsession to you 🍄
